BREA, Calif. --- During her time on Brea Olinda's varsity squad, shooting guard Stephanie Lee has re-written the record books and been the type of scorer that other Crestview League teams could only hope to contain.

The two-time All-Crestview scorer still has one more season with the Wildcats, who currently have a 7-2 record and are ranked No. 30 in MaxPreps' California rating system for girls basketball. But following the 2018-19 school year, Lee will move two towns over to play her collegiate basketball, having been attracted by Biola's welcoming Christian community and quality nursing program.

"I chose to play basketball at Biola University because the coaches and players kindly welcomed me and made me feel so comfortable," said Lee. "I am excited to further my academic and athletic careers while also developing a stronger relationship with God."

This past year was a big breakout campaign for Lee, who set a Crestview-League record with 12 three-pointers in one game on Feb. 6, 2018 and became the Brea Olinda program-leader for free throw percentage with her 95-percent clip at the charity stripe.

The Wildcats went undefeated in league play as they had in each of the previous two seasons with Lee on the roster. Lee and Brea Olinda made it all the way through CIF Division I playoffs in 2016, winning a CIF Regional and State Championship with a 29-4 record.

Since then, Lee has also been recognized on three all-tournament teams and has maintained status as a Brea Olinda and Creview League scholar-athlete. She has served her local community in partnership with the #HashtagLunchbag humanity service movement that uses bagged lunches and social media to help those in need and says she declared her nursing major so she could be equipped "to give compassionate, godly care to the sick and vulnerable during their most difficult time."

Lee will join the Eagles for their first season of PacWest-Tournament and NCAA-postseason eligibility in 2019-20. More information about other incoming student-athletes can be found on the Committed Athletes page.
