VISALIA, Calif. --- Biola Volleyball brings in another talented player from Central Valley Christian High School as setter Marissa Price commits to join the Eagles next fall.

Price comes from the same high school as Tess Van Grouw, Amy Weststeyn and other former Biola greats and she's coming off a high school career where she was twice named all-league first team and led her team to a championship.

"Marissa is as close to a perfect fit that you can get at Biola," said Head Coach Aaron Seltzer. "She loves Jesus, she works hard. She's a great leader at a position that really needs it, and her teammates love her. She's a great athlete and she's gonna fit right in with the rest of the team."

Price helped the Cavaliers to 17 or more wins in each season she was on the team, including a 15-2 league record in the last two seasons.

She made high honor roll all for years of high school and plans to major in business when she gets to Biola. She aspires to possibly own her own business or perhaps go into law.

"I love the Christian atmosphere and all the amazing people I'll get to meet at Biola," said Price. "I also enjoy the smaller class settings and I hear the professors are outstanding!"

Price will lace up the shoes next season for the Eagles. Come on out to catch she and her teammates in Chase Gym beginning in early-September.
