GRANTS PASS, Ore. --- Biola Women's Soccer team will be adding some more speed and strength to their program with Brynne Anderson. After a very successful four years at Grants Pass High School she will be bringing her talent and success to Biola.

Brynne was named MVP and Team Captain her senior year for the Grants Pass Cavemen. Throughout her career with the Cavemen she scored 14 goals with 13 assists; earning All-League Honorable Mention and Second-Team All Conference.

"Brynne has a tireless engine, which enables her to cover a ton of ground in the midfield,"  said Head Coach Erin Brunelle. "She is strong in the air and is tremendous at anticipating play in the attack. She sees spaces that most players do not and thereby gets on the end of services in dangerous spaces in front of goal. Brynne has a calm demeanor, sweet spirit, and compassionate heart, which will enable her to love and support her teammates well."

Not just a leader for Grants Pass, Brynne helped the Rogue Valley Timbers club team make it to the '99 State Cup semifinals two years in a row. Not stopping there she led her team in winning the Rogue Memorial Challenge U19 Champion.

Being very successful in the classroom as well, Brynne was a part of the Student Council, awarded with  Medical Honors, Early Child Development Honors and achieved Honor Roll freshman through senior year. She wishes to continue this success in the nursing program at Biola.

Excited for her new journey ahead, Brynne said, "God eased all my doubts about moving out of state and gave me a great peace in choosing this University. I am so excited to be able to grow as an athlete, student and woman of God over the next four years at Biola!"

She knew Biola was where the Lord was taking her. She said that when she first stepped foot on Biola's campus she could feel the presence of God at work. She was overwhelmed by the positivity and kindness she was shown on campus. "I fell in love," she said.

On Saturday, Sept. 9, Brynne will be found alongside her Biola teammates on Al Barbour Field to face CSU San Marcos in the season-opener.
