Madi deMetropolis joins Biola Women's Soccer after some standout soccer at Millikan.

June 26, 2017

LONG BEACH, Calif. --- Following its undefeated 2016 season Biola Women's Soccer is reloading on offense for the 2017 year with the addition of right forward Madi deMetropolis.

DeMetropolis was a four-year varsity player at Milliken High School and captained the team for the previous two seasons.

"Madi is a physical presence up top, with a knack for creating opportunities for her teammates to score. We hope to bring out deceptive and dynamic movement up top, in order for Madi to be a handful for the opposition to contain," said Head Coach Erin Brunelle. "We look forward to the many ways she will bolster our attack both in creating and finishing chances in front of goal. Madi is also a stud in the classroom and is active in both student government and her community.  Her heart of service will be a great addition to the university and our local community."

In her four seasons with the Rams deMetropolis earned two Offensive Player of the Year honors and was twice named to the CIF Division 1 all-league team.

Another high honor came during her senior season when deMetropolis was named to the Long Beach Press Telegram's girl's soccer "Dream Team." She was the only Millikan player to make the list.

In addition to the skills on the pitch deMetropolis shone in the classroom. She was a class valedictorian and graduated with all A's and E's. She was a part of student government all four years and was the student body vice president.

"Biola has been my dream school for a long time, and finally allowing God's will to take action in my life is an incredible experience," said deMetropolis. "I am so excited to be close to home, as well as getting the opportunity to continue my education and soccer career as an Eagle."

She enters Biola this fall and plans to study human biology to prepare for a career as a physician's assistant in an emergency room. Catch her on the field with the Eagles when she begins the 2017 home season against CSU San Marcos on September 9.
