CENTRAL POINT, Ore. --- Larson Kindreich is the first announced 2019 signee for Biola Baseball. Kindreich is a dominant homeschooled left-handed pitcher coming to Biola from the pacific northwest.

He's got aspirations of a career in professional baseball and is well on his way, gaining lots of attention as an all-state first team player for Crater High School.

"Larson is a young man that God is preparing for more," said Head Coach Jay Sullenger. " His character is what is the biggest draw! He comes from a wonderful family that is shooting out some men that love Jesus. He can also really play the game of baseball as a very projectable left-handed pitcher that is an excellent athlete."

Kindreich spent some time at North Medford High School before transferring to Crater High School for this past season. He was an all-conference player for North Medford, but made the jump to all-state recognition for the Comets last season.

The lefty led his team to the state championship game last season and entered that pivotal contest with an 11-1 record and 0.90 earned run average for the season. He also bat leadoff and played right field for the Comets.

"I chose Biola because I felt I would be getting the complete package," said Kindreich. "I get to play baseball in a beautiful location, but most importantly I get to grow in my Christian faith."

Kindreich is currently ranked by MaxPreps as the No. 4 player in Oregon and has aspirations of another successful season during his senior year.

After that year he will join his brother Honus at Biola just in time to help the Eagles gun for a conference title in their second PacWest Conference season.

"He is drawing interest from the MLB, but we are hopeful to have him come win some championships and serve Jesus through Biola Baseball before that chapter begins," said Sullenger

When Kindreich arrives at Biola he plans to major in business.
