LA MIRADA, Calif. --- While the professional baseball season winds down over the next 10 days, Biola baseball ramps things up on Friday evening with the draft for its annual Red vs. Black intrasquad series.

The seven-game series between the Red and Black squads concludes the Eagles' fall practices in preparation for their first season as a NCAA Division II team that begins next February.

The members of the baseball team will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday for the draft that divides the roster in two for the series. Two captains chosen by the coaching staff will alternate picks to form the two squads.

The draft will be held in Mayers Auditorium at Biola and fans are encouraged to attend. The first game of the series is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Oct. 31.
