Box Score LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola's big four did work again on Tuesday night as all four players scored double-digits and had at least four-plus in another key statistical category in Biola's 79-51 drubbing of Bethesda.
Â
Pierre Zook led the way with his 17 points, 15 of that coming off his five three-pointers.
Andre Murillo and
Mike Kurtz played rough inside, coming away with 14 points each, and Murillo had 11 rebounds while Kurtz added four blocks.
Dakari Archer walked away with 12 points, four boards and four steals.
Â
"It was an easier game than most we've had. I though we played hard and did some good things," said Head Coach
Dr. Dave Holmquist. "This is a tough time of year because of finals and the fact that people are a little bit worn down."
Â
The Eagles certainly did not look worn down on the court, as they forced 23 turnovers by the Flames, capitalizing by scoring 19 points off turnovers or on the fastbreak.
Â
It was another wire-to-wire win for the Eagles, as there was only one lead change throughout the entire game, and they were even up by 33 at one point. The second half was more of a practice atmosphere as Holmquist was able to put in a lot of players who lack everyday playing experience. That time helped Biola grab 20 bench points, as opposed to Bethesda's four.
Â
"I was happy with everybody that played tonight," said Holmquist. "We tried to work on some things that we talked about and now we'll take the day off tomorrow and try to have a couple good practices Thursday and Friday and get another win on Saturday."
Â
Biola plays a home game against Pacific Union on Saturday evening, but the game will be played at Whittier Christian HS at 5:30 p.m. due to scheduling conflicts in the Chase Gym. Admission will be free.Â
