The story of the match was the poor start to which the Eagles got off to. In the first set, Biola took its first lead at 12-11 after a bit of a sloppy start. However, things went from bad to worse after that as San Diego Christian rattled off an 11-3 run to take a commanding 22-15 lead in the set and cruise to the surprising first set win.
However, after a "strong talking-to", Biola came back with a passion in the second set. After exchanging points to open the set, the Eagles snapped a 6-6 tie with a long 13-3 run to break things open with a 19-9 lead and cruise to a win to tie the set.
The story was similar in the third set as Biola this time broke a 5-5 tie with a long 14-2 run to easy take the third set.
The Eagles wasted no time controlling the fourth set, jumping out to a quick 10-3 led and never looking back.
Biola wraps up the first half of the GSAC schedule with a match at Point Loma Nazarene on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
