The Eagles are coming off a pair of losses to teams ranked above them, but responded well against The Master's taking care of business in just over one hour.
In the first set, Biola broke an 8-8 tie with an 8-2 run to take control and cruise to a victory. The two teams again were close to start the second set until Biola went on a 15-5 run to snap a 10-10 tie en route to a 25-15 win.
The Eagles fell behind early in the third set as the Mustangs jumped out to a 9-4 lead. But Biola fought back and eventually tied the game at 16-16. They would outscore The Master's 9-5 the rest of the way to take the match.
Biola posted a .298 hitting percentage in the match and added four blocks while hosting The Master's to a .144 attack percentage.
Biola returns to the court on Tuesday (Oct. 7) for a match against arch-rival Azusa Pacific in Azusa at 7:00 p.m.
