Neil Morgan

Neil Morgan took over the role of Sports Information Director in July 2013. He was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director of Communications and Game Management in July 2015 and Associate Athletic Director of Communications and Event Operations in January 2020. He oversees NCAA Compliance and its related operations and supervises/advises on media relations, communications, facilities and game management for the athletic department. He also oversees the Biola Spirit program and water polo head coaches.

Morgan came to Biola after three years at California Baptist University. During his time at CBU, Morgan worked for two years as an intern and one year as a graduate assistant in the Sports Information Department. As a graduate assistant he served as the primary contact for men and women's water polo and wrestling. In addition, he served as the Student Advisor for all three of the university's student publications and was vice president of the student body during his senior year.

Morgan is an active member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and NAAC and serves on several national committees related to rankings and eligibility. He's served CoSIDA as a contest coordinator, the D2CCA as an all-region voting coordinator and D2SIDA and a member of a regional rankings committee. In his time at Biola he's had the opportunity to host postseason competition for the NCCAA, NAIA, PacWest Conference and Golden State Athletic Conference and he's served as NCAA Site Representative for several NCAA Division II Championship events.


He won GSAC Sports Information Director of the Year in 2015-16 and partnered with Brandon Taylor to help Biola win PacWest Conference Sports Information Department of the Year in 2018-19.

Morgan graduated from California Baptist University in 2012 with a BA in Journalism and Media, concentrating in public relations. In August of 2013 he completed his MA in Public Relations, also from California Baptist University.

Morgan resides in Perris, California with his wife, Shayna, and four children, Liv, Finn, Oliver and Brynn.
