TJ began his time as an assistant coach for Biola Track & Field in 2011, following his time on the team from 2006-09. He specializes in pole vault and sprints.
Ellis earned his B.A. in Biblical studies and theology in 2011 and is currently working on his M.A. in counseling.
During his time at Biola Ellis has coached five All-American pole vaulters and two Golden State Athletic Conference Championship teams. He draws upon his own experience as a former state runner-up in the pole vault during his time as a three-sport athlete in high school.
When he's not coaching Ellis likes to hike, play beach volleyball and run. His favorite Bible verse is 2 Corinthians 5:16-21.
He chose to coach at Biola because, "It's an amazing school."
