Rebeka Preston

Rebeka Preston joined the Biola Cross Country and Track & Field staff in 2025, returning to the Eagles as a volunteer assistant coach after a standout collegiate career.

A Biola alumna, Preston earned her bachelor’s degree in international business in 2022 before completing her Master’s of Arts in Public Relations and Reputation Management in 2023.

During her playing career (2018-2023), Preston established herself as one of the program’s top performers. She holds school records in the triple jump and the 4x100 relay. She earned Second Team All-American honors at the 2021 NCAA Division II National Championships and was also named All-Region in the triple jump. Preston also earned several academic awards throughout her career including CSC Academic All-District, Academic All-PacWest and the D2 ADA Academic Achievement award.

Preston continued to compete after graduating and is still competing professionally in the 800m. Her personal best time is 2:13 in that event.

Before Biola, Preston was a multi-sport athlete at Santiam Christian high school, competing in volleyball, basketball, and track & field. She was a two-time State Champion in the 400 meters (2015, 2016) and a two-time State Champion in the triple jump (2017, 2018). Her volleyball team was four-time Conference Champions and won States in 2014. She also helped the track and field team win conference in 2018.

Originally from Independence, Oregon, Preston enjoys skiing, surfing, and reading books. Her cousin, Robin Earl, was a tight end for the Chicago Bears. In addition to her coaching role, she works in Risk Management and Environmental Health and Safety at Biola. Her favorite Bible verse is Joshua 1:9.

When asked why she chose to coach at Biola, Preston shared, “The Biola Athletics community has given me so much over the years that I can't think of anywhere else I want to give back and spend time coaching."
