Dave Hogan began his duties with Biola track & field as a throws coach in the summer of 2016.
After competing collegiately in both track and football, Hogan transitioned to coaching track & field and football at the high school level in 1983. He was a head football coach at the JV and varsity level at Valley Christian HS and Maranatha HS. Then in 1994, he moved back to Valley Christian to become the head coach in track & field.
In 2006, Hogan took the head coach position for Whittier College’s track & field program and coached the Poets for 10 years before moving down the road to Biola. His accolades include a NCAA football championship with Central College in 1974, an individual conference championship in shotput and an induction into the Valley Christian HS Hall of Fame.
Hogan graduated with a Physical Education degree from CSU Long Beach. He resides in Bellflower, CA with his wife, Faith. They have two children: Tammy and Sean.
