Bill Crumley

Bill Crumley began his first season as Biola’s Interim Head Track & Field Coach in January 2015.
 
Crumley joined the Biola staff just six short months after entering his retirement following 35 years of service in public education. He spent one year as a coach and educator at a high school in the Bay Area before spending the last 34 years in Oregon.
 
He is an experienced coach, serving his entire high school teaching career as a football coach and golf coach. In addition, he spent time as an assistant basketball coach and assistant track & field coach.
 
Crumley has a daughter and son currently attending Biola. His youngest of two daughters, Megan, is a thrower on the track team. His youngest of two sons, Ben, is on the golf team.
 
He would come down to La Mirada two or three times over the past two seasons to help as a volunteer throwing coach. He also worked with the team at each of the last two Golden State Athletic Conference Championship meets. Biola’s women’s team finished first at each of those meets and he coached four individual conference champions and 12 All-GSAC throwers.
 
While he and his wife Joanna reside in Oregon, they’ve relocated to Fullerton for the spring as he coaches the indoor and outdoor track and field seasons. They pair has been married for 23 years. They’ve got four children, Megan and Ben, and Bill, a veterinarian in Washington D.C., and Elisa, a preschool teacher and coach in Oregon.
 
Crumley is an avid golfer, and he works part-time at a course near his home. In his retirement he golfs nearly every day.
