Biola University Athletics

Andrew Daedler joined the Biola Cross Country coaching staff in the fall of 2015 as a volunteer assistant for Head Coach Sean Henning.
 
“I love the team and the Biola community,” said Daedler.
 
He joins the coaching staff as no stranger to this Biola team, having competed for the Eagles in both cross country and track & field from 2011-2015.

During his season as an assistant coach Biola's women's team won the Golden State Athletic Conference Championship and the men's side improved to a second-place finish. Daedler helped coach Kevin Horchler to his second GSAC Championship in a row and first NAIA All-American honors.
 
During his time as a student-athlete at Biola Daedler qualified for the NAIA National Championships three times as an individual. He was also a part of the 2011 men’s cross country national team and competed with the distance medley relay at nationals twice. He represented Biola as a Champion of Character at nationals in 2015.
 
Prior to coming to Biola he was a three-time scholar-athlete in high school and graduated magna cum laude. He led his high school cross country team to a 2011 CIF-SS Championship and was a three-time league champion in the 1,600m and 3,200m.
 
Daedler holds a B.S. in Biochemistry (Pre-med) and plans to attend medical school once his wife finishes nursing school. He currently works as a laboratory technician at the Neutrogena Corporation.
 
He and his wife, Kasey, reside in Whittier, California.
