2014
• Placed third in the 4x800m relay at the GSAC Championship meet to earn All-GSAC recognition
• Also ran the 400m and 800m races at the conference meet
• Had three other top-three finishes on the season. All came in the 4x400m relay (CUI Last Chance, La Verne Distance & Westmont Sunshine)

HIGH SCHOOL
• Prepped three varsity seasons at Peak to Peak Charter School in Lafayette, Colo., graduating in 2013
• Also ran cross country and played basketball, baseball, tennis and ultimate Frisbee for the Pumas
• Broke the school record in the 4x400 (3:32)
• Named captain in 2013 and recipient of the leadership award in 2012 and 2013
• Named to the Dean’s List all four years
 
PERSONAL
• Born Dec. 22, 1994 to Chuck and Joy Goertzen
• Has three siblings (Sarah, Kayley and Sam)
• His sister, Sarah, has won medals participating in crew
• His aunt, Jennifer, attended Biola
• Majoring in kinesiology with the goal of becoming a physical therapist
• He enjoys hiking, biking, skiing and playing volleyball and ultimate Frisbee
• Favorite Bible Verse: Joshua 1:9
