Sharon Zimmerman has been assisting at Biola since fall 2006. She has a background as an athlete competing in track & field and cross country. She competed at Concordia (Neb.) and is a two-time NAIA All-American in the 2-mile and 3,000m.
During her time competing Zimmerman was also a two-time NAIA Academic All-American (before CoSida/Capital One Academic All-American) and a national cross country qualifier in the Association on Intercollegiate Athletics for Women.

She has been married for over 30 years to track & field and cross country Head Coach Jonathan Zimmerman and they have two sons together.

Zimmerman earned a BS in Biology from Concordia (Neb.) and added an MS in Public Health from Loma Linda University two years later.

When not coaching she enjoys baking, running, working out and spending time with family.

She currently resides in Orange, Calif.
