Josh Drew

Josh Drew began his tenure as Associate Head Track & Field Coach at Biola in 2026-27. He coaches the sprints and hurdles and serves as the Eagles' speed and power events recruiting coordinator.

Drew came to Biola from Fort Lewis College (NCAA Division II) in Durango, Colo., where he served as associate head coach for track and field from 2023 to 2026. He joined the Skyhawks ahead of their inaugural indoor track and field season, helping the program expand into the sprints, jumps and other shorter events. In 2025, Fort Lewis sprinter Zachary Gaumont won the 60 meters at the RMAC Indoor Championships in a personal-best 6.74, the program's first conference title. Gaumont also hit NCAA provisional qualifying marks multiple times in the 60, 100 and 200 meters, indoors and outdoors. Eliana Angelino reached provisional qualifying marks multiple times in the indoor 800 meters and once in the indoor 400, where she earned All-Conference honors, and Drew coached the Skyhawks' distance medley relay to second-team All-America honors in the 2026 indoor season.

Before Fort Lewis, Drew spent three years (2020-23) as the track and field and cross country assistant coach at Erskine College (NCAA Division II) in Due West, S.C. There he coached four All-Region triple jumpers, an All-Region shot putter and an All-Region 200-meter sprinter, as well as five All-Conference triple jumpers and All-Conference athletes in the shot put, 100, 200, 400, 400 hurdles and 4x400 relay.

Drew competed as a sprinter at Minot State University (NCAA Division II) from 2014 to 2018 and placed in the 4x400-meter relay at the 2017 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Outdoor Championships. He then spent two years (2018-20) as a graduate assistant with the Beavers, running daily sprint and jump practices and serving as the lead recruiter for sprinters and jumpers. He earned a bachelor's degree in business management and a Master of Science in Sport Management (2021) from Minot State.
