Max Allen

Coach Allen is a Biola Alumni and former player for the men’s golf program. After being the Assistant Coach from 2014 - 2016, he became the Men’s Head Golf Coach in July of 2016.

Allen entered tournament golf at an early age and never left. In high school he played varsity all four years, achieved all-league honors three years, and earned a team MVP award. During his tournaments and matches, Allen faced the top-ranked juniors in the country.

Allen chose Biola University, but he elected not to join the golf team till his sophomore year. Before beginning his first season, Allen suffered a critical hand injury outside of golf, cutting his college career short. Allen lost significant time to surgery and physical therapy and by the end was a Senior who had not hit a tournament golf shot in nearly four years. Despite Allen’s physical trouble and absence from the game he managed to compete. Unfortunately, he re-injured his hand dousing any chance of success.

Graduating with honors in Business Administration, Allen balanced his professional pursuits with coaching the men’s golf program as the assistant coach. Since joining the team it has seen its greatest scoring averages (297), team finishes (2nd), and individual finishes (1st). After working in the marketing and healthcare industries, Allen elected for full-time professional golf. In addition to being the new Biola Men’s Golf head coach, Allen is an instructor and executive at local business GolfCode 360. This company uses biomechanics, physics and technology to provide the finest instruction for its clients.

Allen is from Leucadia, California - a small surf town in San Diego’s North County. He currently resides in Brea, Calif. While not coaching you can find him outdoors. Hiking, training, bodysurfing, wakeboarding, waterskiing, wakesurfing, basically any water sport.
