Freedom Field at Biola University

Freedom Field is located at the southern-most part of the Biola University Campus. Free tournament parking will be available in Parking Lot C. All spectators, umpires and visiting teams should enter campus from the main Biola gatehouse on Biola Avenue (entrance 7 on the campus map). From there, follow signage to navigate around the Alton and Lydia Lim Center for Science, Technology and Health (building 51) and back to Parking Lot C. Here is a visual that indicates where cars should travel to get from the gatehouse to the main lot.

Spectators are welcome to sit anywhere within the designated spectator area. This includes the outfield, foul lines and behind home plate. Spectators are welcome to bring their own personal shade, but it must not inhibit the sight lines of any other guest.

Restrooms are located in the Grove Modular classrooms behind the center field fence & sand volleyball court. The Grove Modulars are Building 54 on the Biola Campus Map.

There will be a concession stand open throughout the tournament. Hot and cold entrees, snacks, drinks and more will be available. Please be advised the concession stand will be CASH ONLY. Offerings will include: Turkey Club Sandwich, Ham Club Sandwich, Chicken Caesar Wrap, Hot Dogs, Cheeseburgers, Nachos, Soft Pretzels, Fresh Fruit, Chips, Cookies and more.

There is a special Biola rate available to visiting spectators. However, this rate is available only for guests who call in to book. It is not available for online booking. Although 2023 marks the inaugural PacWest Conference Softball Championship event, the league has a long history of success in the sport of softball. Check out this document to view a detailed history of softball in the PacWest Conference. 

PacWest Softball teams have won a pair of NCAA Division II softball titles (Humboldt State ('99), Hawaii Pacific ('10)), with five PacWest Conference programs finishing as NCAA Division II national championship finalists, including Biola's runner-up finish in 2021. Concordia's conference title this season was their fourth PacWest Championship. They are one championship behind Hawaii Pacific, which has the most championships in conference history with five.
