• Appeared in one meet before the season was canceled due to COVID-19 outbreak
• Set her new career-best in the hammer throw, tossing 32.78m at the Beach Opener

2019
• Appeared in 12 meets during her third track season with the Eagles
• Set the school record in the discus toss (44.36m) at the La Verne dual meet
• Had her personal-best shot put at the Ross & Sharon Irwin Collegiate Scoring Meet (12.03m)
• Earned All-PacWest honors with a second-place finish in the discus (44.04m)
• Earned Academic All-PacWest honors

2018
• Set the school record (several times) in discus (42.48m)
• Earned All-PacWest honors in the discus with a third-place finish (42.09m)
• Also finished top-10 at the PacWest Championships in the shot put (11.42m)
• Appeared in 11 meets during her first season at BU
• Earned Academic All-PacWest honors

HIGH SCHOOL
• Prepped at Valley Christian HS in East Palo Alto, Calif., graduating in 2017
• Ranked sixth in school history in shot put (36') and fourth in discus (128'9")
• Helped her team to a second-place state finish
• Throwing program dominated the league championships four years in a row
• Finished first place in the discus at the league meet
 
PERSONAL
• Born Nov. 28, 1999 to Mark and Malini Maumalanga
• Has one older sibling (David)
• Majoring in biological science, with hopes of a career as a surgeon or military doctor
• Her brother, David, played college football at Kentucky State
• She enjoys eating and performing Pacific Islander dancers
• Favorite Bible Verse: 1 Corinthians 15:58
• Why I Chose Biola: “I chose Biola because it was the college that I felt that God led me to. The Christian environment became one of the top reasons why I decided to go Biola. The small class sizes and the location of Biola also was a definite plus."
