LA MIRADA --- The Biola cross country teams collected three PacWest weekly awards following strong performances at the UCR XC Invite.

The Biola women swept the conference honors, earning PacWest Team of the Week while Jaina Kang was named Runner of the Week. On the men's side, Zach Elam picked up Runner of the Week honors.

Biola's women turned in an impressive performance in a field of 30 teams at the UCR XC Invite. The Eagles finished third overall, placing ahead of 15 NCAA Division I programs in the field to earn Team of the Week honors.

Kang led the way for the Eagles, crossing the finish line seventh overall in a field of 269 runners. Her performance earned her PacWest Runner of the Week honors.

Elam added another strong showing for the Biola men to claim his second PacWest Runner of the Week award of the season. The senior completed the 8K course in 24:07, finishing 21st overall. Elam was the second NCAA Division II runner to cross the finish line in the field.
