Omofoma’s Record Day Ends on National Podium

The Eagle junior claimed third place in the triple jump and broke two school records at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships

EMPORIA, Kan. --- The Biola Track and Field teams returned to Welch Stadium for day two of the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Hope Willis got the day started for Biola in the women's discus final. Willis logged a throw of 43.28m, earning 19th place. Willis finished her sophomore season, breaking two school records in both the discus and the hammer.

Eboselulu Omofoma competed in two events today. Her first event was the women's triple jump final. Omofoma earned 3rd place after a jump of 12.77, shattering her previous school record by .57 meters.

Her second event was the women's 100m hurdles. Omofoma qualified for the 100m hurdles final by way of time, finishing with a 13.47. She broke her own school record set last year at the 2025 National Championships.

Four Eagles will compete tomorrow, beginning with Colby Shamblin in the men's javelin at 10 a.m. Omofoma will follow women's 100m hurdles and 400m hurdles. Joshua Widdows will race in the men's 400m hurdles. Bethany Mapes will close out the competition, running the 5000m set to start at 4:55 p.m.
