Kayla Bousquette was named the Wilson/NFCA Division II Pitcher of the Week.

March 24, 2026

LA MIRADA---Kayla Bousquette earned national recognition following a dominant week in the circle against Hawaii Pacific.

Bousquette was named the Wilson/NFCA Division II Pitcher of the Week after her standout performances against the Sharks. The senior appeared in three of Biola's four games, compiling a 2–0 record along with a save.

"I'm extremely proud of Kayla and the way she competed against HPU," stated head coach Kristin Halte. "Her preparation truly set her up for the demand that was placed on her that series. With DJ unavailable due to injury the second day, Kayla took on a heavier load and completely embraced that responsibility. She owned the moment and showed exactly how much she's about the team."

Halte continued, "Extremely proud of her and no one more deserving of the NFCA pitcher of the week. She's someone who shows up every day, puts in the work, and leads by example. What you saw in that series is a result of that consistency. She's has earned every bit of her success, and it's been fun to watch her grow."

In the first game against the Sharks, Bousquette tossed a seven-inning shutout, allowing just four hits while striking out six. She added a second win with 4.2 scoreless innings of relief, giving up no runs or walks and recording six strikeouts. The Senior ended the series with a save, finishing with 13 innings pitched, seven hits allowed, no runs, one walk and 15 strikeouts.

Bousquette also earned PacWest Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season.
