LA MIRADA---Francesco Tricarico was selected as the PacWest's co-Defender of the Week for his standout performance against Azusa Pacific.
"Francesco has been a tremendous addition to our program," stated head coach Joey O'Keefe. "He embodies true professionalism and plays with so much passion. He has been a revolution for us and leads by his actions. We are fortunate to have him in our locker room."
O'Keefe continued, "Though Francesco is completely worthy of this Defender of the Week award, he would be the first to congratulate his backline who have played phenomenally and are equally deserving of recognition."
Tricarico was instrumental in the Eagles' 1-0 victory against APU. He played the full 90 minutes against the Cougars and earned his second shutout of the season.Â
The Sophomore faced 10 shots from Azusa Pacific and recorded four saves. Three of the four saves he made were in the final 20 minutes of the match after BU scored their goal.
The men's soccer team plays next on Thursday, October 2nd at 7 p.m. against Jessup University at Al Barbour Field.
