LA MIRADA --- The Eagles picked up points from start to finish last year, capping off the 2024-25 campaign with a 60th placement in the Learfield Division II Director's Cup.

Biola easily set a school record in the final standings, jumping 44 spots from its previous best of 104th place in 2023. From the fall through winter and spring, BU compiled 321.50 points, which nearly doubled its total from last year.

The LEARFIELD Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points were awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships.

Cross country got the ball rolling in the fall with a pair of 26th place finishes on the national stage. Both teams made the final race in the same year for the first time, pulling in 48 points apiece in the director's cup.

A pair of swimmer's added to the total in the winter, as men's swimming and diving tacked on 36 points behind an All-American showing by Samuel Slezak. Biola men's basketball also advanced to postseason play, making regionals and landing in 33rd place for 25 points to round out the winter season.

Spring brought the final burst with four teams picking up points for 164.50 total. Women's tennis led the way with 50 points for the Eagles and a 17th place finish. Women's golf and softball also each made regionals, going for 33rd and 34th place, respectively, for a combined total of 76.5 points. A few student-athletes made the trip to Colorado for track nationals, as the women's track and field squad netted 38 points with a 35th place finish.

Biola's 60th place standing put the Eagles as the third-best PacWest school on the list.
