LA MIRADA---The Biola softball team had three Eagles earn All-Region recognition from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). Jackie Ibarra, Alexa Medley and Raquel Reyes were featured on the NFCA's All-West Region teams.
Ibarra led the Eagles as a First Team All-West Region selection. She was also a First Team All-PacWest pick and broke the Biola Softball Program's Single Season School Record for hits. Ibarra leads her team with a .415 batting average and the PacWest Conference with 85 hits. Additionally, she recorded 23 RBIs, scored 53 times and has an OPS of .886.Â
Ibarra, BU's starting left fielder, has a fielding percentage of .990, 91 putouts and four assists.Â
Medley and Reyes were Second Team All-West Region picks.Â
​​Medley, a First Team All-PacWest selection, is BU's starting second baseman who has a fielding percentage of .962 with 130 putouts and 100 assists. She also took part in five double plays.Â
The Sophomore batted .359 this season with 65 hits, three doubles and three triples. Additionally, Medley was a force on the basepath, recording 11 stolen bases and scoring 40 times.Â
Reyes, a Second Team All-PacWest pitcher and designated hitter, made it to the NFCA's All-West Region Second Team as an utility/pitcher.Â
Reyes has a 2.28 ERA and an 11-5 overall record in the circle in the regular season. She threw 111 innings, three complete games, had two solo shutouts, one save and recorded 67 strikeouts. The Graduate Student also batted .327 with 52 hits, 13 doubles and four home runs. She also recorded 31 RBIs, scored 14 times and has an OPS of .835.
