PUEBLO, Colo.---Maggie Williams represented the Biola Women's Track & Field program in the preliminary round of the 800m run at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
The Junior finished the event 19th of 22 athletes with a time of 2:17.74.
"Maggie ran her hardest today," stated head coach Sean Henning. "Unfortunately, it just wasn't good enough on the day, but she stuck her nose in it through 400 meters just like we asked her to."
"I think the altitude combined with the fast pace was a bit much and she felt it the last 200 meters," continued Henning. "We are still very proud that she made it here after missing it last year. This has been a successful season for her!"
The Biola track & field team still has one athlete competing in the NCAA DII Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Ebose Omofoma will compete in the finals of the 400m hurdles on Saturday, May 24th at 7:25 p.m. MT (6:25 p.m. PT).
