PUEBLO, Colo. --- Selections for the 2025 DII men's and women's outdoor track and field championships were revealed on Tuesday afternoon. Four individuals from Biola earned spots at the national championships, including one from the men's squad and three from the women's.
The 2025 DII men's and women's outdoor track and field championships are set for May 22nd through May 24th at the CSU Pueblo Thunderbowl in Pueblo, Colorado.
A pair of freshmen will cap off their rookie seasons on the big stage in Colorado in the same event. Josh Widdows will represent the Biola men's squad in the 400 hurdles with prelims happening on Thursday, May 22nd at 6:55 pm. On the women's side, Ebose Omofoma will step into the 400 hurdles, running the prelims right before the men at 6:40 pm.
Earlier in the day on Thursday, Bethany Mapes will look to make her mark at nationals. The junior earned a spot in Colorado in the 1500, bettering her qualifying time in the final meet of the year. The 1500 preliminary races will be on Thursday, May 22nd at 4:10 pm.
Maggie Williams will make her return to the national stage on Friday. Williams was selected to compete in the 800 again, as she did in 2023. The preliminary races for the 800 are set for Friday, May 23rd at 5:00 pm.
