Final Reps of 2025

Biola Track and Field completed its regular season schedule on Saturday, capping off the APU Last Chance Meet.

AZUSA, Calif. --- Biola capped off its regular season with the final day of the APU Last Chance Meet. The Eagles had a variety of events going on Saturday, including a podium finish from Hannah Hanson in the 100 hurdles.

Hanson made the 100 hurdles finals with a strong showing in the prelims for the 100 hurdles on Friday. The sophomore came through again with a 14.36 time for third place on Saturday to hit the podium. Hanson added to her day by competing in the 400 hurdles, finishing in ninth place at 1:03.00.

In the field, Hope Willis led the way in the discus, tossing a mark of 41.38m for ninth place. Leah Gilmore was not too far behind, going for 35.77m and 13th place.

Robby Porter was tied with three other competitors for fourth place in the high jump. He recorded a leap of 2.03m on his final attempt.  

Bethany Mapes brought another bright spot to the night, recording a personal-best in the 1500. She hit a time of 4:25.04 to nab eighth place on Saturday. Aidan Tomasini also corralled a best time by .02 seconds, running the 1500 at 3:48.30 for 26th place out of 167 runners in the field.

Aidan Erickson took on the pole vault for the men and finished in 14th place at 4.35m, while Reanna Maroon competed on the women's side with a mark of 3.43m in the pole vault for ninth place.

A few personal-best marks were scored in the men's 200. Dominic Castro took 20th place with a PR of 22.33, while Angelo Legaspe finished with a PR of 23.67 for 42nd place. Tyler Poltl also competed in the 200, nabbing 27th with a time of 22.63.

The 3000 steeplechase wrapped up the night in Azusa, featuring one Biola runner in each of the women's and men's events. Jaina Kang came through in 12th place, crossing the finish line at 11:14.98. On the men's side, Jeremiah Echeverria landed in 18th place at 9:37.01.

The BU squad will now await the announcement of NCAA DII Track and Field National Championships selections on Monday.
