Strong Start to Hawaii Road Trip

The Biola softball team began their trip to the Hawaiian Islands with a 3-0 victory over Hawaii Pacific.

HONOLULU, Hawaii---The Biola softball team began their trip to the Hawaiian Islands with a 3-0 victory over Hawaii Pacific.

Kendall Nakano got Biola on the board early. The Freshman put her team ahead 2-0 in the first inning with her two-run homer - her 10th home run of the season. Nakano is tied for the most home runs in the PacWest Conference.

BU added one more run to their score in the fourth inning. Maddie Granados doubled to score Bridgette Trujillo who singled to lead off the inning (3-0).

DJ Symons tossed a complete game shutout. The Junior only allowed HPU three hits while striking out six.
