LA MIRADA---The Biola track & field teams divided up between the Bryan Clay, Pacific Coast and La Verne Leopard Invitationals.

Bryan Clay Invite
Nine runners competed in the second day of the three-day Bryan Clay Invitational. 

Melt von Molendorff and Bethany Mapes set personal bests and created new school records in the men's and women's 5000m runs. Von Molendorff finished 16th in the first heat of the men's 5000 open A with a time of 14:17.39. His previous PR of 14:18.31 was the last school record in the men's 5000. The Junior has the second-fastest time in the PacWest Conference.

Mapes also broke her own school record in the 5000. She finished 13th of 24 runners in the third heat of the women's 5000 open A with her personal best time of 16:29.80. Mapes holds the fastest time in the PacWest in the 5000 and is the eight-best in Division II.

Joshua Klausmeier recorded a personal best time of 14:46.71 in the 5000m run.

Pacific Coast Invite
Biola competed in 18 events at the Pacific Coast Invitational. Ebose Omofoma set the school record in the 100m hurdles with her personal best time of 13.92. Luke Poarch recorded BU's only podium finish of the meet in the 1500m run. Poarch finished second in the event with a time of 4:06.08.

Four more Eagles achieved personal bests including Hannah Hanson in the women's 100 hurdles (14.26), Jack Ferrence in the men's 100 (11.1), Priscilla Jones in the women's javelin (30.50m) and Laura Brennan in the women's discus (36.21m).

La Verne Leopard Invitational
BU had 13 athletes compete at the La Verne Leopard Invite. Two field athletes achieved podium finishes, Reanna Maroon in the pole vault and Faith Winningham in the hammer throw.

Maroon  won the pole vault with a mark of 3.60m and Winningham was second in the hammer throw with a mark of 46.58m.

Ella Hoang earned a personal best in the hammer throw (39.95m).

The Eagles will compete at four meets tomorrow. They will continue the three that they participated in today plus begin the Mt. SAC Relays.
