Quarterfinals, Here We Come!

The Biola women’s tennis team defeated Fresno Pacific 4-0 and is advancing to the quarterfinals of the 2025 PacWest Championships.

SURPRISE, Ariz.---The Biola women's tennis team defeated Fresno Pacific 4-0 and is advancing to the quarterfinals of the 2025 PacWest Championships.

The Eagles set the tempo with their victory in doubles. Gaby Carvajal and Alexandria Mann collected Biola's first win on the third court (6-2). The first and second courts finished at the same time which gave Biola a clean sweep in doubles.

Kailee Mazzeo and Alessia Radu won 6-4 on the first court and Isabella Chavarria and Dafne Andres won 6-4 on the second.

Mann recorded Biola's first singles victory, defeating her opponent 6-0, 6-0. Andres finished next with her 6-3, 6-3 triumph on the third court. 

Isabelle Karam clinched the match with her win on the fifth court. The Freshman defeated her opponent 6-3, 6-1.

Biola improves 14-6 overall and is scheduled to play fourth-seeded Dominican next in the quarterfinals of the PacWest Championhips. The match is set to take place tomorrow Thursday, April 17th at 9 a.m. at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Club.
