IRVINE, Calif.---The Biola track & field team opened the Vince O'Boyle Track Classic with five field events.

Biola's top three finishes of the day were in the men's javelin. Elias Voris earned Biola's highest finish of the day,  placing third with a personal best throw of 52.90m. Braeden Marsolini achieved the second best finish of the day, competing in the javelin for the first time in his career. He finished fifth in the javelin with a throw of 47.35m.  The Eagles' third-highest finish of the day was courtesy of Cody Bondy. Bondy finished sixth with a mark of 45.31m.

Four more Eagles recorded personal bests. Ebose Omofoma and Autumn Murray PR'd in the long jump. Omofoma led her team, finishing ninth of 32 athletes with a personal best mark of 5.69m. Murray came in 13th with her personal best mark of 5.53m.

Ella Hoang and Rachel Sizelove achieved PRs in the hammer throw. Hoang recorded a personal best mark of 37.77m and Sizelove recorded 33.62m.

Faith Winningham led BU in the women's hammer, finishing 14th with a mark of 42.47m. Winningham was followed by Hope Willis (16th, 41.89m), Leah Gilmore (18th, 41.25m), Hoang (27th), Norah DeYoung (30th, 36.86m) and Sizelove (32nd). 

Mark Sizelove competed in the javelin where he finished 11th with a mark of 39.05m. 

Willis represented Biola's women in the javelin, finishing 12th with a mark of 33.54m. 

Marco Smith placed 17th in the long jump, recording a mark of 6.41m.

Biola continues the Vince O'Boyle Track Classic tomorrow Saturday, March 29th at the Anteater Stadium.
