Getting to Work

The Eagles tallied a sixth-straight win with a doubleheader sweep of Pace on Tuesday.

LA MIRADA --- Biola softball kept the good vibes going with a Tuesday sweep of the Pace Setters (6-6). The winning streak reached six, as the Eagles (21-10) defeated Pace, 5-2, in game two.

The Biola lineup got to work early in game two. The first two batters reached base and Raquel Reyes cashed in. The designated player roped a double over the right fielder's outstretched glove for an RBI double and a 1-0 Biola lead.

The Eagles picked up where they left off heading into the second inning, placing three singles in the first four batters. Kamryn Guthrie scored Ariana Banos with a single back up the middle and Jackie Ibarra kept it going with a line drive to center for a single. A Pace fielding mishap gave way for two more and the Eagles climbed to a 4-0 edge through two frames.

Makayla Jordan kicked off the third inning with a big hit, doubling to deep center field. A wild pitch moved her over to third, setting up Kennadie Tsue for a successful sacrifice fly.

In the circle, Kayla Bousquette got the job done. The righty soared through five and two-thirds innings with three strikeouts. The Setters scored just two against Bousquette, who grabbed her third win in 2025.

Maddie Granados took over in the sixth and secured the victory with impeccable touch. Four-straight outs led to the reliever's second save of the season.

Ibarra was perfect at the plate in game two. Four at bats turned into four singles, as the left fielder put in good work as the BU leadoff batter.

Biola will now prepare to face Azusa Pacific in Azusa on Friday for a doubleheader set to start at 12:00 pm.
