CARMEL, Calif.--- The Biola Eagles headed up north to compete in the DBU Patriot Invite on Monday. Biola was one of nine nationally ranked teams competing in the tournament of 15 institutions. The first two rounds of the tournament were played on Monday where the Eagles finished in sixth place with a score of +46 

In the first round, the Eagles recorded a +20 score and 10 birdies as a team. Theresa Shaw had four of the birdies and a scorecard two-above-par 73. Melanie Reyes also earned a scorecard two-above-par 73 with three birdies. Claire Shubin was next up for Biola at five-above-par 76. Karis Haltom (82), Rachel Shaw (85) followed, along with Laura Ortiz (83) who competed individually.

In the second round, the Eagles finished at +26 with seven birdies. Shubin led the Eagles in the second round as she finished one-above-par 72 with three birdies. The Eagles to follow Shubin were R. Shaw (77), Reyes (80), T. Shaw and Ortiz (IND) each finished at 81, and Haltom (84). 

Biola looks to move up on the leaderboard as they will be back on the course tomorrow, Tuesday, March 18 for the final round of the tournament scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
