IRVINE, Calif. --- A breakout week for Kendall Nakano brought attention from the conference offices. The Biola first baseman was named PacWest Player of the Week for a spectacular week at the plate.

Nakano entered last week batting .288 in the 2025 season and ended the week batting .361. The power hitter moved into the number three spot in the lineup with nine hits and 10 RBIs in two games against CSU San Marcos and four wins against Academy of Art.

Through 21 plate appearances, she reached base 13 times including four extra-base hits and four walks. Her two home runs on the week made for number three and four on the season for the freshman.

In the field, Nakano put together a perfect week completing all 43 chances for outs, while taking part in three double plays.

Nakano and the Eagles will be back at Freedom Field against Dominican on Monday and Tuesday for a three-game series.
