LA MIRADA --- The Biola Eagles (4-8) took down the La Verne Leopards (2-10) in a high-scoring battle at Splash! Aquatics Center on Wednesday afternoon. Head Coach Rick Nordell gave numerous Eagles some time in the pool which led to 10 different Eagles putting one in the net.

John Grasso paved the way for the Eagles with his four goals in game two on Wednesday. Grasso began the scoring for the Eagles just over a minute into the game. Jake Burns found the Senior on a power play just a minute into the game which gave the Eagles an early lead. This duo paired up again on another power play in the latter half of the first period giving Biola a 3-0 lead.

Adam Lavoy and Ryan Previch each scored a goal in the first period, contributing to the Eagles 4-3 lead at the end of the first frame.

The Eagles held the Leopards to just one goal while BU went on to score three more, extending their lead to 7-4 going into the second half.

Lavoy found the back of the net twice in the first three minutes of the third period. In that same frame, Rapp recorded his second goal of the game, Grasso with his fourth, and Christian Trapp with his second of the season. BU closed out the third period with a 12-7 lead.

Biola Freshmen, Brandt McBride and Koen Vos both recorded their first collegiate goals in the fourth period. Vos fired his first at the two-minute mark and then picked up his second goal with two seconds left on a long ball to an open goal, sealing the Eagles 18-10 victory.

Mitchell Carpenter defended the goal for most of the game, but Joshua Dachenhausen and Cooper Smith both got to see time at the net. The three keepers tallied a combined 10 saves against the Leopards. Dachenhausen also recorded two Eagles saves.

Nolan Rapp and Jake Burns each tallied multiple assists in Wednesday's victory over the Leopards.

The Eagles will be right back at Splash! Aquatics Center at 10 am on Thursday where they will face the visiting California Baptist Lancers.
