LA MIRADA --- Biola women's golf head coach, Jane Carr, welcomed back former BU golfer Brady Turnquist to her coaching staff for the upcoming season.

The Eagles are excited to bring Turnquist back as she was a program-changing player for the Biola women's golf team.

In Turnquist's time as a Biola student-athlete, she rewrote the Biola Women's Golf Record Book and collected a long list of accomplishments. Last season, she was the PacWest Player of the Year, a WGCA All-American, the PacWest's Women's Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year, and a First Team All-PacWest selection. She also received the Dave Holmquist Career Achievement Award at the 2023-24 Biola Eddies.

Spring 2024 was a busy time for Turnquist who led her team to win a PacWest Conference Championship (for the second time in her four-year career) and at the NCAA DII Regionals. She also graduated in Spring 2024 with her bachelor's degree in business administration. 

Throughout her career, Turnquist was a three-time First Team All-PacWest pick and a two-time WGCA All-American.

Her impact on Biola as a student-athlete left the best impression on Carr. "Brady Turnquist wrote the history books of Biola Women's Golf during her career as an Eagle. She holds over 10 program records including six career individual wins…Brady is an amazing competitor seen by all she has accomplished in just four years of collegiate golf" 

Winning a title and receiving her degree were not the only things on Turnquist's to-do list during the first half of 2024. "Brady turned pro over the summer and competed in the LPGA Qualifying school in Palm Desert, just missing the first stage cut by one stroke" continued Carr. 

In addition to coaching, Turnquist will also be on the Women's All Pro Tour. 

"I'm super excited to be coming back to Biola as an assistant coach and to hopefully help the girls get another PacWest title! It's been fun still being around the girls and supporting them as their coach now instead of their teammate" added Turnquist. 

Carr looks forward to the new season ahead with Turnquist by her side. "I have enjoyed every minute with her on the golf course and am very excited to have her coaching alongside me this season. The experience she will bring and her competitive nature is going to continue to drive this team" said the women's golf head coach. 

The newest addition will get her first coaching opportunity in the team's first tournament of the season on Sunday, September 22 at the Westminster Wasatch Invitational.
