LA MIRADA---The awards continue to roll in for Brady Turnquist who was just named the PacWest Conference's Women's Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

"Brady has literally written the history books for Biola Women's Golf and in the last week has added two more academic awards to her resume," stated head coach Jane Carr.

Carr continued, "It takes incredible discipline, hard work, and intentional focus to be successful on and off the course like she has been. A lot of athletes want to be good, but aren't willing to do what it takes to get there. Brady is chasing excellence in everything she does and it is so admirable."

Turnquist, a senior from Oregon City, Oregon, graduated this past May with a 3.69 cumulative GPA in her bachelor's of business administration. She played four years under coach Carr and was instrumental in the team's success, helping Biola win two PacWest Conference titles and make two team West Regional appearances. She also competed in the West Regional once as an individual, making her career total of West Regional appearances three. 

Turnquist was a team captain and a key piece of Biola's 2023-24 roster. She led her team with a 74.70 single-round average, seven top-10 finishes, three top-five finishes and one first-place finish. Her first place finish was at the 54 for IX Invitational where she finished four-above-par and went on to win PacWest Golfer of the Week. 

Turnquist finished the 2023-24 season strong, leading Biola to victory at the PacWest Championships with her scorecard of +7 to take second place. She continued to pace BU at the NCAA Division II West Regional, where she finished eight-above-par 224 and T27th. 

Turnquist earned several athletic awards for a successful 2023-24 season including the Biola EDDIES Dave Holmquist Career Achievement award, PacWest Player of the Year and First Team All-PacWest. She also led the PacWest Conference in the Clippd rankings, where she was listed as the 75th-best golfer in the nation. Additionally, Turnquist recorded the best single round of her career in the 2023-24 season which was four-below-par 68 at the Swan Memorial.

Academically, she was named a College Sports Communicator's Academic All-District selection.
