All-Region Track Stars

Stefan Jungmichel, Susi Bruennig and Maggie Williams earned All-Region honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

LA MIRADA—The Biola track & field team had three athletes earn All-Region honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Stefan Jungmichel, Susi Bruennig and Maggie Williams represented Biola on the prestigious list.

Jungmichel was named All-Region in the decathlon for the second-consecutive year. The Graduate Student had the most decathlon points in the West Region and ranked fifth-best in the nation with 7279 points. 

Jungmichel capped an impressive career at Biola. He competed in decathlon at the NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championships for the second-consecutive season, earned All-PacWest honors in the pole vault, and was a PacWest Player of the Week. Jungmichel also broke Biola track & field program records in the 60m hurdles (8.31) and the 110m hurdles (14.79). 

Bruennig received All-Region honors in the 3000m steeplechase. The Junior's personal best time of 10:37.58 was fifth-best in the West Region and 25th-best in the DII. Bruennig's time in the steeplechase was an NCAA Provisional. She also was All-PacWest in the 3000m steeplechase.

Williams was awarded All-Region recognition in the 800m run. The Sophomore's season-best time of 2:10.44 ranked her fifth-best in the West Region and 38th in the nation.
