GREENWOOD, Ind.---Kayla Bousquette and DJ Symons represented the Biola softball team on the College Sports Communicators' 2024 Academic All-District team.

DJ Symons led the duo with a 3.91 GPA in her bachelor's degree in public health. The Sophomore made 27 mound appearances and was awarded three starts, pitching a total of 57.2 innings this season.

Symons led Biola's pitching staff with three saves. Additionally, she ended the year with a 3.52 ERA and 42 strikeouts.

Bousquette finished up her sophomore season with a 3.76 GPA in her bachelor's of business administration. The Simi Valley native started 21 games, made 27 pitching appearances and threw 123.1 innings this season.

Bousquette had four complete games and recorded one shutout. She ended the year with a 3.46 ERA, 70 strikeouts and a 6-14 W-L record.

To be eligible student-athletes must have started in at least 66 percent or played in 90 percent of their team's total games. Pitchers needed to have at least 17 appearances or pitched 25 innings. Academically, athletes were required to have at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average.
