Box Score SURPRISE, Ariz.---The Biola women's tennis team overpowered Hawaii Hilo 4-2 to advance to Saturday's fifth-place match.

The Eagles had a solid start, capturing the doubles point.

Kailee Mazzeo and Isabella Chavarria secured BU's first doubles win, taking down the Vulcans' 6-1 on the third court. Colbeyshae Emery and Lilly McNeill clinched the point shortly after, winning 6-3 on the second court.

Nationally-ranked No. 5 doubles partners Brooke Fager and Alexandria Mann were leading 4-3 on the first court when the point was clinched.

Nationally-ranked No. 39 Emery secured the first win of singles, defeating UHH's McKenna Mountain 6-3, 6-4. 

Hawaii Hilo answered back with the next singles win on the third court, but McNeill would put Biola ahead with her victory on the second court. McNeill defeated UHH's Nanami Okamoto 6-2, 6-4. 

The Vulcans would not back down without a fight and would win one more match on the sixth court before Mann clinched the match on the fifth court.

Mann won 6-4, 7-5 to send Biola to the fifth-place match-up on Saturday, Apr. 20 at 1 p.m. at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Club.

Biola will play the winner of the Dominican and Hawaii Pacific match.
