IRVINE, Calif.---Isabella Chavarria captured this week's PacWest Player of the Week award for her performances against Ottawa Arizona, Arizona Christian and Colorado Mesa.

Chavarria helped the Biola women's tennis team go 3-0 last week by going 3-0 in singles and doubles against Ottawa Arizona, Arizona Christian and Colorado Mesa. She began the week off strong with a 6-0 win in doubles with partner Brooke Fager and continued the momentum into singles where she won 6-0, 6-0 on the fourth court against Ottawa Arizona.

Later on that day (Wednesday, Feb. 28), Chavarria collected a 6-2 doubles win with partner Kailee Mazzeo and then won on the fourth court in singles (6-0, 6-1) against Arizona Christian. 

On Friday (Mar. 1), Chavarria kept her winning streak alive, winning in doubles and singles against Colorado Mesa. She began the day with a 6-0 doubles victory with Mazzeo and then defeated her opponent on the fifth court 6-4, 6-0.

Chavarria has a 6-2 overall record this season with wins on the fourth, fifth and sixth courts. She is also 5-3 in doubles from the third court.
