LA MIRADA --- Biola Athletics and UFC Gym La Mirada announced their new partnership bringing benefits for BU student-athletes and the Biola community.

UFC Gym La Mirada has a state-of-the-art facility equipped with a full octagon, bag rack, indoor turf, mat area, free weights, and essential cardio and weight equipment. They also offer a wealth of amenities including personal training, a youth gym, recovery, and classes.

As a part of the sponsorship, Biola students, staff, faculty, and alumni can become members at a special discounted rate. Also, Biola student-athletes will have discounted access to the recovery tools, including cryotherapy.

Mike Teague, Director of Athletics Development, on this partnership said, "We are excited to be able to partner with UFC Gym La Mirada, which shares the same commitment to being positive members of the La Mirada community. This partnership offers the Biola community access to the benefits of a UFC Gym membership at a special rate, and we look forward to offering unique experiences for our community in the future."

They have also sponsored a UFC Gym La Mirada Player of the Week Award which will be announced on Instagram on a weekly basis.

General Manager of UFC Gym La Mirada, James Thomas, wanted to encourage the Biola community to come by the gym and see the services they offer. "We are bigger than the octagon.
