Throwers Take on Day One of CSULA Invite

The Biola track and field teams’ throwers took on the first day of CSULA’s Twilight Open.

CERRITOS, Calif.---The Biola track and field teams' throwers took on the first day of CSULA's Twilight Open.

Biola had 12 throwers compete on the first day in the men's and women's javelin and hammer throws.

India Young led the throwers with a third-place finish in the women's javelin that traveled a distance of 32.18m.

Mark Sizelove finished fourth of eighth athletes in the men's javelin with his personal best throw of 39.95m.

Leah Gilmore had Biola's highest finish in the women's hammer throw. Gilmore placed seventh of 14 athletes with her throw of 38.55m.

Nathan Wilson represented BU in the men's hammer throw and recorded a personal best throw of 33.80m that placed him seventh.

Biola begins the second day of the Twilight Open tomorrow Saturday, Mar. 16 at 8:30 a.m.
