IRVINE, Calif.—The Biola women's golf team swept the PacWest Conference's weekly awards for their outstanding performances at Cal State San Marcos' Fujikura Invitational.

Rachel Shaw was named PacWest Golfer of the Week for her steady performance at the Fujikura Invite where she totaled eight-above-par 224 with scores of 74-75-75.

The Junior led the field in par scoring, recording 39 pars. She also had four birdies, 11 bogies and only one double bogie.

The Eagles won PacWest Team of the Week for their collective performances at the Fujikura Invitational. Biola finished fourth of 15 teams with a three-round score of 919. 

In a competitive field of teams, BU trailed the tournament's champion nationally-ranked No. 16 Cal State San Marcos (901), second place UT Tyler (908) and third place CSUMB (916).

The Eagles also beat out the three other PacWest Conference teams in attendance which included eighth place Point Loma (932), 11th place Hawaii Hilo (942) and 14th place Hawaii Pacific (973).

Brady Turnquist recorded Biola's second-best overall score of 228, which tied her for ninth on the leaderboard. Turnquist was followed by Theresa Shaw (T24, 232), Melanie Reyes (T46, 239) and Abigale Morris (T67, 250).

 Biola competes next at The Patriot Invitational on Tuesday, Mar. 19 at the Poppy Hills Golf Course.
