IRVINE, Calif.--- The Biola softball team and
Raylene Roybal earned some of the PacWest Conference's first softball weekly awards of the year.
The Eagles were named PacWest Team of the Week after going 2-1 overall in the Concordia Kickoff Classic. Biola's first win of the tournament was a 3-2 victory over the NFCA's No. 16 Oklahoma Christian and their second was a 5-0 shutout over SFSU.
Roybal earned PacWest Pitcher of the Week for her performance in BU's win over San Francisco State University. Roybal achieved a 0.00 ERA, pitching 6.2 innings against the Gators while only allowing four singles.Â
The redshirt Senior also recorded six strikeouts against SFSU.
Biola is scheduled to play next tomorrow Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 12 pm against Western Oregon at Freedom Field.
