IRVINE, Calif. — A third-straight conference crown for the Eagles meant more accolades for the decorated squad. Sean Henning nabbed his third PacWest Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year honor and Jaina Kang was voted PacWest Freshman of the Year.

The Biola crew continued its reign with superb finishes in postseason action. The Eagles began with another PacWest title, before heading to regionals. In Montana, BU grabbed a second-consecutive second place showing, advancing to nationals once again. The team grabbed 26th place at the big race, capping off an incredible year.

Head Coach Sean Henning helped build the program into the powerhouse it is and has seen the team break records and reach new heights. This season alone, the Eagles collected 12 combined All-PacWest honors between the two teams.

On the course, Kang impressed in her rookie campaign. Her best placement all season came at the PacWest Championships, scoring eighth place with a time of 21:24.5. She continued to succeed throughout the postseason as she placed 23rd at regionals with a 21:41.1 time and closed out her freshman season with a 23:01.2 time at nationals.

The freshman of the year recorded her best time of the season early on at the UCR Invitational where she ran a 21:18.1 time.

Kang was also one of the 12 Eagles to be named All-PacWest. Aislin Taylor, Bethany Mapes, Lynette Ruiz, Aiden Tomasini and Melt Von Molendorff were awarded First-Team All-PacWest. Kang, Karis Brown, Hailey Wurzbach, Charlie Bailey, Jerry Baltzer, and Jacob Shirota were named Second-Team All-PacWest and Rouxan Le Roux was named Third-Team All-PacWest.
