Furlan Fires in Game-Winner

Brennan Furlan fired in the game-winner in Biola’s 2-1 triumph over Fresno Pacific at Ramirez Field.

FRESNO, Calif.---Brennan Furlan fired in the game-winner in Biola's 2-1 triumph over Fresno Pacific at Ramirez Field.

Biola scored first, taking advantage of an early penalty kick opportunity. Ethan Hardin took the kick and found the net, putting Biola ahead 1-0. This was Hardin's third penalty kick goal of the season and he is 3-for-4 from PKs.

Fresno Pacific rallied back with just eight minutes remaining in regulation, scoring the equalizer in the 82nd minute.

Four minutes later, Furlan responded for BU with the game-winner which was his third goal of the season.

Gijs van Schouten played the entire 90 in the goal. The Senior made eight saves against the Sunbirds, his last save was in the final minute of the game. Adrian Acevedo and Tomislav Jozinovic supported van Schouten in the goal, playing the full 90 on defense.

Biola men's soccer ended the season 7-9-2 overall and 5-5-1 in the PacWest Conference.
